He wants to help us!

2 Chronicles 16:9a – New American Standard Bible Translation

For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.

Did you know that your Father is searching throughout the earth for you so that He can strongly support you? What is required of us to have His strong support? We are asked to be completely His! How do we do that? He asks us to rest in His completed work in Christ!

How do we rest in Him? We start by understanding who we are in Christ.

Ephesians 1:11-12 tells us that “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. (The Message Translation)

Ephesians 1:13 tells us that in Christ, we are free, and our salvation is secure because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit.

We can rest in our identity in Christ. Every time we are tempted to have our identity defined by the things of this world, REJECT that temptation and REPLACE it with the truth. When we have a hard time “REJECTING AND REPLACING” don’t turn to some strategy given to us by the world system like positive thinking or let the enemy tell you that you have to get it right before your Father will help you. Instead turn to your Father right in the middle of the battle because He delights in strongly supporting you. Remember He is looking for you!

Our prayer for all of us is in Ephesians 3:14-19

I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God!
